JOB TITLE:  PRODUCTION ASSISTANT/DRIVER

CORE FUNCTION: To assist in fulfilling local orders and arranging export shipments by working on the floor or deliveries

REPORTS TO: Production Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delivery of orders to customers in a timely, efficient manner
  • Delivery and handling of fish to the airport/boat to facilitate export
  • Delivery/Collection of cheques, letters etc. as needed by Office/Accounts Staff
  • Assist in receiving Fresh Fish, Lambie or Lobster from Fishermen
  • Assist in checking orders and loading into delivery trucks
  • Load ice into bins or bags for ice orders
  • Maintain clean environment in plant cutting room, freezers and floor
  • Packing of Export Yellowfin tuna for Overseas shipments
  • Ensure a safe working environment on the floor for all staff
  • Report all damage to plant and equipment at the time it occurs or is first noticed
  • Follow very closely guidelines for fish processing and handling as detailed in the Employee Handbook
  • Any other duties assigned by Supervisor/Management to ensure efficient running of the floor and company as a whole
